Olivia Rodrigo

Olivia Isabel Rodrigo, born on 20 February 2003 is an American actor and singer-songwriter. She was first recognized for her leading roles on Disney's television shows Bizaardvark, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series in the latter half of 2010, and she continues to be an iconic Disney TV star today. Following her joining Geffen and Interscope Records in 2020, Rodrigo dropped her first single "Drivers License" that broke numerous records and was one of the best-selling songs in 2021, bringing her to fame in the mainstream. After singles "Deja Vu", and "Good 4 U", Rodrigo released her debut solo studio album Sour (2021) with great commercial and critical success. She won three Grammy Awards. In 2022, a Disney+ documentary called Olivia Rodrigo: Drive Home 2 U was released which chronicles her process of creating with Sour. Rodrigo is the owner of two Billboard Hot 100 number one singles and one Billboard 200 number number-one album. She also holds five multi-Platinum certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America. She was also recognized with an American Music Award and seven Billboard Music Awards. Time named her 2021 Entertainer-of-the Year, while Billboard named her Woman Of The Year in 2022. Olivia Isabel Rodrigo was conceived at Rancho Springs Medical Center Murrieta in California to Jennifer Rodrigo and Chris Rodrigo. Her family resides in Temecula. Rodrigo is Filipino American. [7] Rodrigo's father is Filipino and his mother is of German and Irish descent. Rodrigo has said that her grandfather's family left the Philippines to the United States when she was a teenager. Her family is also a part of Filipino customs and cuisine. Rodrigo took vocal lessons in kindergarten. He also learned piano quickly. [12] At six years young, she started singing and taking acting classes. She also began acting in school productions. Rodrigo began playing guitar when she was 12. [12] Rodrigo was a kid who listened to alternative rock when he was a child, such as Pearl Jam, No Doubt or Green Day.
