Simone Biles

Simone Biles is an American gymnast. Born on the 14th of March 1997 in Columbus Ohio U.S.A. The 2016 Olympics were held in Rio de Janeiro and Biles became one of the U.S.'s the first gymnast of female gender ever to be awarded four gold medals. She also won the world title for all-around 3 times in succession (2013-15). Biles was raised within Spring Texas, in the Houston metro region. She and her sister Adria were adopted by Ronald and Nellie Biles. Simone became interested in the sport of gymnastics as a young girl when she took a field trip for day care in Bannon's Gymnastix and stayed there for 11 years, under the direction of her instructor Aimee Boorman. Biles won a gold in floor exercises and also a bronze in vault at the women's Junior Olympic National Championships in 2010. She then stepped into the top level of gymnastics in the year the year 2011. In just two short years, she became the most successful athlete in her discipline. Biles's consistent, exuberant character and her high level of effort during her four eventsvault uneven bars balance beam floor exercise as well as floor exercises -- helped to set her out from the rest of the athletes.
